Below is a list of three websites with script writing software that members may find helpful.
celtx is a free online database and community that allows you to write scripts online.
You are able to print your scripts with the free software. Instead of printing to your printer you can select create a .pdf! This file can be uploaded to FFAB!
They do offer a software for sale that I think is downloaded to your computer that gives you more options. However the free version seems to work just fine.
ScriptBuddy is also a free online database that allows you to write scripts.
You are able to print your scripts from this site as well and are able to save them as a .pdf!
Again they have an option to pay for an 'upgraded' version that allows for more options. Again the free version seems to get the job done.
plotbot is yet another online database for script writing.
The two big differences with this site is you are able to co-write (so says the 'About' page) and you can download your script as an .rtf as well as save/print as a .pdf. You can only have one working script with the 'free' version here.
We're sure there are more sites out there but we have tested these three out. We encourage those who are looking for a formatting program to look into these sites and see if one will work for them. They all are a little bit different with how the menus work and the actually witting. Alternatively, you can used your normal word processing program.
Please note these websites are rated AA for their software. However, content on these sites could be rated MA or beyond. Please venture into forums/ community threads and/ or read other scripts hosted on these sites at your own risk. FFAB strongly encourages asking your parents' or guardians' permission in setting up accounts on these sites, if you are a minor. FFAB is not liable for any content found within the above listed websites.
