Producing a Multiple Person Podfic
1. Volunteer your story.
2. The senior staff will review your story and it will be moved to a subforum in the Production Room. You will then receive a PM with the password to your subforum and you have the choice of directing and/or editing yourself, or we can assign a director and editor to the project.
3. Casting begins. Post a casting call in the Voice Actors subforum (you may go elsewhere to find people, but they must all join both the forums to participate and post their lines). Send each of them a PM asking if they would be interested. If they say yes, you may give them the password to the subforum so that they can begin to record their part.
4. While the actors are recording their lines, you will then need to decide if you would like the editor to find the sound effects for the production or if you would like to find them yourself.
5. Once lines come in from the actors, you will need to listen through them and decide if they are done to your satisfaction. If not, you can request that the actor redo certain parts. Make sure to give detailed guidance on the parts to be redone to make it easier for the actor. The director/editor of the project will also listen to ensure they are editable.
6. The editor will produce a first draft of the podcast for you to check over and request any changes. This could be the timing of the lines, the sound effects/music, or any other issue you have.
7. Once all changes have been made and you have approved the final podcast, it will go into the queue to await release.
If you have any questions then post below and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
